At Capital Defense Instruction we offer group and personalized

firearms instruction and consultation.  Our mission is to teach law-

abiding citizens the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary

for owning and using firearms safely.  With our headquarters being

in Arlington, Virginia; clients come to us from throughout the heart of

Virginia, suburban Maryland, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Our Firearms Instructors are certified and use current NRA materials in the courses.  The majority of training courses we offer meet the state requirements for those seeking the Virginia Resident Concealed Handgun Permit. 

In addition to the popular First Steps & Basic Pistol courses for those seeking Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit training, we’re certified to teach the following NRA courses:  First Step Rifle, Basic Rifle, First Step Shotgun, Basic Shotgun, Metallic Cartridge Reloading, Shotgun Shell Reloading, and the nationally recognized crime prevention and personal safety Refuse To Be A Victim® seminar.  Capital Defense Instruction now offers the highly popular Utah Non-Resident Concealed Firearm Permit Course.  Did you know that you can legally carry a firearm in 30+ state with the Utah Permit?
