Capital Defense Instruction, LLC -is coming to Chip & Doris Hutton’s Home to conduct the Maryland HQL (Handgun Qualification License) and Utah Concealed Firearm Permit course. Why get a Utah CFP? Because a person with a Utah CFP can legally carry a firearm concealed in 30+ states. Please see reciprocity map of coverage states below. Why get a Maryland HQL? Because the Maryland HQL is needed in order to purchase, rent or transfer a regulated firearm in the State of Maryland.

Course Description:

This course is taught by Maryland State Police Approved Qualified Handgun Instructors and Utah BCI Certified Concealed Firearm Permit Instructors. Course includes both classroom and time on the range. Course instruction includes the following topics: handgun safety rules, handgun parts and operation, ammunition types and components, fundamentals of shooting, safe firearms handling, U.S. federal firearms regulations, practical and legal considerations, and more. As an added bonus, the UT CFP application, FBI fingerprinting and passport photo service are all included, making applying for the Utah CFP easy. The Maryland HQL component also includes Maryland firearms law, firearm home safety, and a “live fire” part in which the course participant safely shoots a firearm. Failure to attend schedule training forfeits registration tuition paid. No exception to the policy!
